SEND Information

All pupils share the right to a broad and balanced curriculum.

At Eccleston Mere, we pride ourselves on the quality of our Special Educational Need (SEN) provision. Our primary aim is to support children with an additional need or  disability to develop and learn alongside their peers, enabling them to flourish and reach their potential. Within our school, we focus on meeting the needs of each child, ensuring that they have access to all areas of the curriculum.

Please download the files below to access further information about our aour Local offer and other SEN Information required as stated in the SEND Code of Practice and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014. The purpose of the Local Offer is to enable parents to see what services are available for children with special educational needs and disabilities in their area, and how to access them.

A child or young person has a learning difficulty or disability if he or she:

  • has a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of others of the same age.
  • has a disability which prevents or hinders him or her from making use of educational facilities of a kind generally provided for others of the same age in mainstream schools or mainstream post-16 institutions.

To view which services are available to you and your family access St Helens Council website.

Please contact our SENCo (Special Educational Need Co-ordiantor), Amanda Noblett, for any advice or support via the school telephone number, 01744 734 829, or SENCO email address ecclestonmeresenco@sthelens.org.uk.
