Nursery Admission (3 year olds)

Our school admission procedure for 3 year olds is administered by St Helens Local Authority. Parents should contact St Helens Local Authority for further information about arrangements for admissions and admission appeals.

There are free government funded places in Nursery for 3 & 4 year old children, for 30 hours per week (across 38 weeks of the year). Details of eligibility can be found at https://www.gov.uk/find-free-early-education or Childcare Choices. Children are eligible the term after their third birthday. Our Nursery operates morning or afternoon sessions for three hours daily: 15 hours per week. We also offer 30 hour places: Monday to Friday.

Session Times:
Morning only: 9.00am - 12.00pm
Afternoon only: 12.30pm - 3.30pm

30 hours: 9.00am - 3.30pm

You can apply for nursery admission the term after your child's third birthday. For example, if your child was born on or between:

Nursery Wrap Around Care & Charges
Our 30 hour places run from 9am- 3.30pm. The cost of our lunch time wrap around care is £3.00 per day. If a parent also wishes to purchase a school meal, Lunch is payable at the cost of £2.95 per meal via School Grid.

Snack costs £6 per week if a pupil attends for 30 hours; £3 if they attend for 15 hours.

We offer a small number of places for Nursery children in our Breakfast Club and After-School Club. Places may be booked via the school office. Please see our Breakfast and Afterschool club page for further information of open times and costs.

In exceptional circumstances, with prior agreement of the Headteacher, parents may be able to book sessions on top of free funded session, the cost is £14 per session (3 hours) or £28 per day.

Non-payment of Fees

Where pre-school fees are not paid in a timely manner, or where a high balance is accruing, the office will notify parents. Should this not be rectified within an agreed time period, the offer of paid sessions / wraparound will be withdrawn.
