World Book Day 📚

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day. We had lots of fun dressing up as our favourite book characters and taking part in World Book Day themed activities. Lots of people were dressed up as Harry Potter but other characters included Thing 2, Billy Elliot, Carrie from Goodnight Mr Tom, Where's Wally and many others. One of the activities we participated in was called 'Drop it'. When we heard a bell, we had to drop everything and read a book. Another activity was in the form of a month-long challenge. For this we were given a sheet that had different statements such as read in the garden or read aloud in a funny voice. Once we have done each statement, we will tick it off and put the short date next to it. Then after the Easter holidays we hand it back to Mrs Pickthall so she can see how much reading we have done. 📖
