Eccleston Mere has been recognised by Ofsted and the DfE on a number of occasions as an outstanding school.

There has been a school in the village of Eccleston since 1880. The present Eccleston Mere Primary School is a strong and vigorous offshoot of this first educational establishment, built to educate children from ages 5-14 and serving a largely agricultural community.

Our present school is becoming a 2 form entry primary school plus 52-place nursery unit. The total number on role is approximately 430.

We have a large, experienced staff with many outstanding abilities and talents. Our hardworking and dedicated staff have high expectations and seek to deliver a creative, imaginative curriculum to enthuse every child. Parents, visitors, members of the local community and other volunteers also add a great deal to our school.

At Eccleston Mere we are aware of the importance of giving our very best efforts to the education of our children and take pride in feeling that we have played some part in the development and nurturing of their thoughts, ideas and aspirations.
